Robert L. Castle, M.D., F.A.C.O.G.
Dr. Castle received his Medical Degree from George Washington University in 1976 and subsequently completed a four-year residency program. He has been in private practice in the Northern Virginia area since 1980. He is Board Certified by the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists and the American College of Surgeons. He has served as Chairman and Vice-Chairman of the Department of OB/GYN at INOVA Fair Oaks Hospital, and past president of INOVA Fair Oaks Hospital Medical Staff. He is an active staff member of INOVA Fair Oaks and Potomac Hospitals. Dr. Castle’s interest in the field of OB/GYN is multifaceted. He enjoys golf, skiing, and professional sports.
Leonard A. Rosen, M.D., F.A.C.O.G.
Dr. Rosen attended George Washington University Medical Center where he received his Medical Degree in 1976. He subsequently completed a four-year residency program at George Washington University where he served as Chief Resident in 1980. He has been in private practice in the Northern Virginia area since 1980. Dr. Rosen is Board Certified by the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists and is an active Fellow in both the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists and the American College of Surgeons. He is certified by the Council of Gynecological Endoscopy and Certified by COEMIG (Center of Excellence of Minimally Invasive Gynecological Surgery). He is Co-Director of the Division of Minimally Invasive Gynecological Surgery @ INOVA Fair Oaks Hospital and Director of Robotic Surgery. Dr. Rosen serves as a Proctor of new physicians who are learning to use the DaVinci Robot. He enjoys underwater photography, scuba diving, skiing, tennis, golf and professional sports.
Lino C. Montilla, M.D., F.A.C.O.G.
Dr. Montilla received his Medical Degree from George Washington University in 1992. He completed his residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at Washington Hospital Center in 1996. After practicing in Washington D.C. for three years he joined Fairfax OB/GYN Associates in January 1999. He is Board Certified by the American Board of Obstetrics/Gynecology and is a Fellow of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists. Dr. Montilla holds active privileges at INOVA Fair Oaks Hospital. Dr. Montilla can speak in multiple languages including English, Spanish and Tagalog.
Melodi L. Wilson, M.D.
Dr. Wilson received her Medical Degree from Boston University School of Medicine in 1999. She completed her residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at Drexel University College of Medicine in Philadelphia, PA in 2003. She is a member of the American Society of Reproductive Medicine and the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists. Dr. Wilson joined Fairfax OB/GYN Associates in July 2005 and holds active privileges at INOVA Fair Oaks Hospital. Dr. Wilson enjoys reading, gardening and travel.
Jasser Thiara, M.D.
Dr. Thiara is the newest member of our group. He completed a residency at Bridgeport Hospital in affiliation with the highly esteemed Yale University School of Medicine. In his postgraduate medical training, Dr. Thiara worked intently under the supervision of many highly skilled physicians and surgeons. During his training, Dr. Thiara worked pertinaciously with his mentor, Dr. Masoud Azodi, The Chief of Minimally Invasive Gynecological Surgery and Associate Chair of Gynecological Oncology at Yale New Haven Hospital. Dr. Thiara practices general Obstetrics and Gynecology with an emphasis on Minimally Invasive Gynecological Surgery including DaVinci Robotic Surgery. He is a recipient of the 2011 Outstanding Laparoendoscopic Surgeon Award from the Society of Laparoscopic Surgeons. Dr. Thiara is well versed in endometrial ablative procedures, hysteroscpic sterilizations, urodynamic evaluations and urethal sling procedures. His interests lie in the management of adnexal masses, endometriosis, urinary incontinence, infertility, uterine fibroids and cosmetic surgery. He is fluent in 4 languages including Hindi, Punjabi and Urdu. In his spare time he enjoys traveling and visiting some of the best restaurants in Northern Virginia.
Lashea Davis, M.D.
Dr. Lashea Davis joins our Practice after successfully completing her chief residency at the SUNY Downstate Medical Center in Brooklyn, New York. There she successfully cared for many women during their high risk pregnancies, and during their very complex and diverse gynecological needs. She is well versed in the newest evidence based guidelines in Obstetrics and Gynecology, and has a great interest in Minimally Invasive Surgery. Dr. Davis grew up in the Chicagoland area, and has lived throughout the Midwest, Southern, and Northern regions of the United States. She is recently engaged and loves to travel, while enjoying the all the simple pleasures that life has to offer. Dr. Davis has a very personable personality and is a wonderful addition to our team, and currently is accepting new patients.
Karen L. Foster-Anderson, L.N.P., C.N.M., M.S.
Karen received her Masters Degree in Science from the Medical College of Virginia in 1988. She received her certification as a Nurse-Midwife from the Frontier School of Family Nursing and Nurse Midwifery in 1995. During the past 17 years, Karen has practiced in women’s health care in Northern Virginia and Martinsburg, West Virginia. She is able to care for our clients before, during and after the birth of their baby. She is certified by the American College of Nurse Midwives and is an ASPO Certified Childbirth Educator. Karen is actively involved in scouting and community sports while raising her 3 sons.
Elizabeth S. Goodiel, C.N.M, C.R.N.F.A., C.N.O.R., M.S.
Beth received her undergraduate degree in nursing from George Mason University with a BSN. She worked in labor and delivery until she returned to school to study surgery from Delaware Community College in Pennsylvania, where she became a certified surgical first assistant. She began working for Fairfax OB/GYN Associates in 1990 as their first assistant, working with patients having cesarean sections and GYN surgeries. In 1998, Beth received her Masters Degree from Georgetown University, completing her certification requirements in midwifery. She continues to act as first assistant in surgery as well as assisting couples in the birth of their babies. Beth has been teaching childbirth education for 25 years, as well as giving seminars to educate student midwives on cesarean delivery. Beth has numerous activities to enjoy, including white-water rafting, skiing, scuba diving and anything related to her grandchildren.
Mary Kaye Mackanin, M.S., C.N.M., A.P.N.
Mary Kaye received her Master's Degree in Science from Northern Illinois University. In 1995 she completed her post graduate certification in Nurse Midwifery from the University of Illinois, Chicago. She is certified by the American College of Nurse Midwives. For the past 17 years she has practiced Nurse Midwifery in Illinois, Texas, and Virginia. In Texas she was a faculty member for the University of Texas, Galveston and had medical, nursing, and physician assistant students under her supervision. She recently relocated to the Virginia area to enjoy the closeness of her children and grandchildren.
Gail A. Edwards, R.N.C., M.S.N., A.N.P.
Gail is a Master’s prepared Adult Nurse Practitioner who has specialized in women’s health care. She received her Bachelor’s Degree from the University of Oklahoma in 1970 and spent the ensuing years in a variety of nursing roles such as childbirth educator, labor and delivery nurse, and school nurse. Her interests lie in providing primary care for women of all ages with an emphasis on prevention of illness and promotion of wellness. Gail is a member of the American Nurses Association, Northern Virginia Council of Nurse Practitioners, Virginia Nurses Association, Association of Reproductive Health Professionals, and the American Society for Colposcopy and Cervical Pathology. Gail enjoys skiing, golf and spending time with family, friends and her dog.
Maureen F. Brady, APRN, BC, FNP, PA, Doctor of Integrated Medicine.
Maureen received her RN from Marymount University in 1977. She attended George Washington University medical School, Physician Assistants/Nurse Practitioner Program and became board certified in 1982. She completed a Doctoral program at Capitol University of Integrative Medicine in 2001. She has practiced in the field of Obstetric and Gynecology since 1987. Her special areas of interest include Nutrition, Bio-Identical Hormone Replacement and Functional Medicine. She completed courses in Naturopathic Endocrinology, Health Coaching, Anti-aging medicine, Lifestyle Education, Wellness and Longevity medicine. She believes in a balanced lifestyle with Mind/Body/Spirit, Integrative approach to her practice for an optimal health outcome. She and her retired OB/GYN husband have 2 grown children and 2 Great Danes. She enjoys an active lifestyle she loves cooking, needlework, cardiovascular exercise, yoga, pilates, meditation and being of help to others.
Jaimie Rose, M.S.N., W.H.N.P.
Jaimie received her Master's Degree in Women's Health from the University of Cincinnati, and her Bachelor's Degree in Nursing from George Mason University. Jaimie has 12 years of experience in Nursing and teaches the Prepared Childbirth Class. Jaimie is very passionate about women's health issues and empowering women with the knowledge they need to stay healthy and be pro-active about their health. Jaimie is outgoing, loves the outdoors, exercises regularly and loves to spend time with her children.
Mary Rojas, R.T., R.D.M.S.
Mary has been a Board Certified Radiologic Technologist since 1990 and a Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer since 1994. She joined Fairfax OB/GYN Associates in 1998 and performs Obstetric and Gynecological sonograms as well as Bone Density Exams (DEXA Scans). She has been a member of the Society for Diagnostic Medical Sonographers since 1996.
Teresa A. Yuengert, A.A.S., R.D.M.S.
Teresa is a native of Detroit, Michigan. She attended Eastern Michigan University where she studied nuclear medicine technology and chemistry. She holds an A.A.S. degree in Diagnostic Sonography from Oakland College in Rochester Hills, MI. Teresa has been a registered sonographer for 30 years. Her registry specialties include OB/GYN and abdominal scanning. She is also trained in vascular, Doppler, and 3D/4D imaging.
