About Christine

Christine Callahan graduated with her Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree from the University of Miami in Coral Gables, FL. She returned to the east coast to work as a labor and delivery nurse at INOVA Fairfax Hospital. While working there as an RN she began her journey to become a Certified Nurse Midwife and graduated with her Master of Science in Nursing degree from Georgetown University in DC. Chris has experience with both out-of-hospital and in-hospital deliveries, as well as experience with a variety of gynecologic needs including contraception, preconception counseling, prenatal care, and STD screening/ treatment just to name a few. She has a passion for educating women about their bodies and empowering women to make informed choices about their health, from adolescence through menopause. Chris is from a big family of seven kids and loves spending time with her nieces and nephews. When she’s not with family or seeing patients she loves yoga, going to the beach, enjoying the outdoors, and traveling.
